BOTB Round 1 - Gin-sensei's Poke Rock-off

THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED!

Are you excited for the games that await you? Gin-sensei certainly is. In fact, he's enjoying it so much that he wants to bring his Pokemon onto the stage! What, you didn't know he had Pokemon? Well, he's been really into them since his visit to his fellow scientist Bill. He thinks that his Pokemon can blow anyone off the stage.
But wait. Waaaait. Wait, you mad scientist.

You have to challenge him to a rock-off!
Use your chance to rock his socks off.

The Colors code prevents Gin from declining a rock-off challenge. What are the terms? What's the catch?

If you win, Gin will take his sorry butt back to the main tower. And also he will have to give you prizes.
And what if he wins?
Well, then you'll just try again.

Fine? Let the rock-off begin!

Now to actually get serious - how does this event work?

First, you challenge Gin to a rock-off. Use the form below.
Gin-sensei sends out 3 of his Pokemon on stage. To do this, he uses a random number generator to choose 3 Pokemon out of 340 that we have in our 17 special decks (one for each type). He posts the cards with those Pokemon, together with their names and types.
Now it's your turn - to win the Pokemon rock-off, you must enter the stage with Pokemon that will rock harder than those sent by Gin. To put it simple - Pokemon whose types are super-effective on them. If you're lucky, you may be able to do this with just one Pokemon. If not, you can use 2 (3 would be extremely bad luck, but it isn't impossible).
Pokemon rock-offs are simpler than regular battling. Abilities don't count (so you can defeat a Gengar with a Ground-type). Stats don't count. Your Pokemon's moves and its own weaknesses don't count as well.
To 'use a Pokemon', you simply need to bring here a card that depicts it!

Help! What is Pokemon!

If you haven't ever played Pokemon, don't panic! You can still complete this event with no problems! Here's what you should do:

1. Go to Bulbapedia.
2. Search the 3 Pokemon that Gin used, find the Type Effectiveness section and note down their weaknesses.
3. Is there one common weakness for all 3? If so, any card from that type's deck will win you the battle.
4. If not, maybe there are 2 types that would defeat all 3? Try a dual-typed Pokemon then. If you don't know the second types of Pokemon in our decks - Bulbapedia is still there for you.
5. If a dual-type cannot win you the battle as well, tough luck - you'll need to find 2 or 3 cards to win.
6. Also, remember that we're playing by Gen 5 rules, so no fairies exist here.
7. If you have any other doubts, you can always ask either me or any of your teammates that are into Pokemon! Asking them what cards you need is also fine!

And how exactly do I get those cards?

You can always trade them from someone, though I guess it will be hard. Otherwise, Art Shop and Art Studio are your best friends. You can get any Pokemon card from them. If you don't have enough crayons / random special cards to use Art Shop / Art Studio, ask your higher-leveled team mates for help. Each team should have at least one or two high-level players, so teamwork is important here! If this fails, you can also try asking high-level players from other teams. I intentionally set this event as the first one, so that you have as much time as possible - more than 3 weeks.
Remember that there are two kinds of Pokemon cards at Colors - the special decks and the character decks of several certain Pokemon! Both can be used in this event!

Example of a rock-off

Derpina:
Here's Derpina from The Pink Derps! I challenge you to a rock-off!

Gin:
Let the rock-off begin! Here are my Pokemon:
(I actually randomly generated those now to make this more realistic)

Escavalier (Steel, Bug)
Phanpy (Ground)
Bagon (Dragon)

Derpina (thinking):
Hmm, I can only defeat Escavalier with Fire. And Phanpy's and Bagon's only common weakness is Ice. There is no Fire-Ice Pokemon obviously, so I'll have to use two. Let's go to Art Shop or Art Studio and ask for any Ember and IceBeam cards.

(several hours later, after an extremely fast response from Aru)

Derpina:
Alright Gin! Here are my Pokemon!

Tepig and Swinub, go!

Gin:
Tepig defeats Escavalier, and Swinub takes care of Phanpy and Bagon... Alright, you win this one.
Congratulations, you also get a note for The Pink Derps! Good luck in the next rounds!

Other rules

You have time until August 24th (the exact moment is 12:00 (noon) in CET timezone (UTC+1) ) to win a rock-off. You will earn 2 random cards for each Pokemon you defeat, and if you beat all 3, you'll also get a note for your team! You will lose the special cards you use though.

Use this form to begin your challenge.

It's important because if you don't post your band name you can't score a note!

and one last thing...

Wait, what if this crazy scientist dude gets...

NO, SABLEYE AND SPIRITOMB ARE BANNED OKAY
