colors_tcg | Battle of the Bands signups begin!

Welcome everyone! Once again, it's this time of the year, and you know what that means! The third incarnation of the Colors League, named the Colors Battle Of The Bands, is here! We're starting the signups right now, so get inside!

What is the BOTB?
The League/BOTB is the most epic and awesome event at Colors, held each year in August! How does this thing work? First of all, the players who have signed up will be sorted into teams, mostly based on their own preferences. There are eight teams in total and every team is assigned a Colors character as well as a captain.
However, because of our musical theme for this year, instead of teams, we're going to have bands, each representing a different musical genre. Our captains are now frontmen/frontwomen, and instead of points you're going to collect notes! Each Colors character has formed his/her own band, and is hoping for you to join them!
The lineups will be announced on July 29th, during the opening show. Each player will then receive their team's backstage pass (which works as a member banner, same way as last year's shirts). The frontpeople will then post the official 'dressing room post' at the trading community, when their team members can meet and work on their plans. The eight captains will then be posting the 16 'gigs' daily for 16 days starting August 1st. The first 8 are going to be an open-answer challenges, the last 8 - screened quiz games. After the last game is posted, all games will remain open up to August 23rd, giving everyone the chance to participate. Each time you answer a game, tell the mod which band you're from, so they may earn a note. All the notes collected by the bands will be counted during the special awesome epic live closing show, at which the results will be reavealed.

The frontpeople are also members of their bands and can play and earn notes in all games besides their own screened quiz game, for which they will get a note automatically.

Answering an event game correctly will win you the usual card prize and one note for your team. In the end, the notes will be tallied up and all participants will receive prizes based on their band's rank. The ranks will be determined by the percentage of notes collected by the bands. The prizes are as follows:

1st place - 20 random cards, 6 random crayons, 3 choice cards
2nd place - 15 random cards, 5 random crayons, 2 choice cards
3rd place - 12 random cards, 4 random crayons, 1 choice card
4rd place - 10 random cards, 3 random crayons
5th place - 8 random cards, 2 random crayons
6th place - 6 random cards, 1 random crayon
7th place - 4 random cards
8th place - 2 random cards

The Bands
There are eight bands that you can join. Think twice before you decide which one is the one for you! To help you with your decision (or to make it even harder) we've prepared informational leaflets about each band and their styles. We've also got you some YT links with musical references for every band, in case you're not familiar with some of the genres. You can either choose a band based on you favourite color/music genre, or have a talk with your friends so you can join the same team! Remember, there isn't a 100% probability of getting into your 1st priority team.

Isn't this amazing? All of those bands seem really cool and motivated to win! It must be a difficult choice for the players!

Colors Musical Magazine

To make the atmosphere even hotter, I'll be posting the Colors Musical Magazine during the signups and the event itself. It will contain stuff like the history of the Colors League or interviews with participating characters! You'll also be able to win some small prizes there.

The signups SHOULD close when the lineups are announced, that is July 29th, but there is a chance that we may let someone in just after that to fill the teams with less players.
