While I would probably do best in, like, a Harvest Moon town, I think that Bhujerba from Final Fantasy XII would be an interesting place to live! It's one of those floating sky islands, and it puts up a neutral front during the early events of the game so there's no combat except in those mines. Plus the architecture and scenery are very beautiful.
