Colors TCG 6th Anniversary - Day 16

Hi everyone! If the banner didn't scare you away, it's time to open that closed and drag out these skeletons since we're going to talk about parts and adaptations of your canon that are forgotten... for a reason.
Tell us about that one universally hated part, about that weird spinoff, that live action movie nobody dares to watch, that anime series you refuse to acknowledge, all that stuff you generally pretend doesn't exist. Or maybe that's the common opinion about something in your canon but you happen to like it or at least think it wasn't as bad as everyone says? Please criticize to your heart's content but refrain from saying things like "anyone who liked this must be stupid" since you never know, this might be someone's opinion about it.
For answering you'll get sixsational16 as well as six random cards!
This game, like all anniversary games, will close on July 1, noon GMT!

Unsurprisingly I am salty about Mighty No 9 too but not necessarily for the reasons most people are salty about itSo to the uninitiated, the original plan for Megaman X was to end it at X5 (this game was the one that had a huge battle between X and Zero). It was literally set up to be a good ending to the series, and then the series would move on to
stroke Inafune's boner for Zero that wound up transferring to Ray in MN9Megaman Zero. So, if you read some of the supplementary stuff for the MMZ series it'll say that Zero went into deep sleep after the events of X5 only to reawaken at the beginning of Zero.So where does that leave X6-X8? WELL. It depends on fan interpretation because CAPCOM SURE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CLEARING THIS SHIT UP. But one can assume based on the above that X6-X8 are technically not canon which means.
Axl. Is not. Canon. (Yes it always comes back to Axl I am eternally salty about this kid and his handling by Capcom)
The worst part about this is that Capcom had a chance to retcon this decision for MMZ. They made a Drama CD for MMZ about one year after X7's production, which meant Axl already existed by this point in time. They could have made a side mention of Axl dying in the battlefield or something to excuse his lack of appearance in MMZ, but did they?
Nope.
To rub salt in the wound, in Megaman ZX Advent, there's a character called Model A which is a biometal, a thing that is based on the souls of heroes past, and it has some SUSPICIOUS DESIGN CHOICES AND ABILITIES THAT SURE LOOK LIKE THEY COULD COME FROM AXL I MEAN
You can't tell me there isn't some connection between these two
Model A's obviously based on Axl, right?
N O P E
APPARENTLY HE'S BASED ON THIS ASSHOLE CALLED ALBERT
Are you fucking kidding me
Also Command Mission is considered non-canon by most people because it's a spinoff game and I AM ETERNALLY SAD BECAUSE IT HAS SOME REALLY BEAUTIFUL CHARACTERS IN IT????
honestly they just should have made mmx into an rpgI like to consider MMZ and X6-CM separate timelines or with some finagling you can put them all in a linear timeline but that involves chucking out a bunch of shit Capcom/Inafune did and I AM OKAY WITH THAT HONESTLY MEGAMAN'S TIMELINE IS A FUCKING HOT MESS
Tl;dr - Basically I'm salty as fuck about how Capcom handled Axl's existence, NO ONE IS SURPRISED, and my motto for Megaman is "Fuck Canon, do what you want."
