DAY 13: Favourite Colors Things!



Now that we're halfway through the advent event, it's time to sit back and appreciate everything Colors has given us. Tell me about your favourite things from Colors! It can be a favourite deck you wish you could master ten times over, or a much-loved game that you always play, or a special member or mod - anything! Got a favourite card? Do you jump for joy at Recycled Art, or count down the days until the Monthly Release?

You can tell me about as many of your favourite things as you want, but as long as you talk about at least one, you'll be rewarded with two random character cards and one choice 13 card! Don't wait for me to reply to claim your choice 13 card, but please write in your comment what you're taking.

Please forgive me if this sounds like a stream of consciousness I am tired--

OKAY, so I love a lot of things about Colors, and I am going to talk about all of it because I can. First, though not necessarily foremost, I love the huge variety of decks Colors has. There are just tons and tons and tons of decks of every possible character imaginable, and so many of them are gorgeous! What drew me to Colors in the first place was the pretty deck/card template because to me it just seemed the right dimensions, and looking at other character TCGs, I have to say Colors' template appeals to me most. It's not quite golden ratio, but it's pretty damn close.

What really settled it for me though was probably the Megaman and Inazuma and Log Horizon decks! You have no idea how excited I was to see Megaman decks, and this was before I really got back into them robots and digital AIs. My first collecting deck was visualizer, so! And then I learned you could donate decks, and OH BOY... Basically started throwing stuff at Colors and haven't stopped ever. The Megamans and Inazumas and Log Horizons will continue growing you cannot stop me muahahahahahaha

Next, I really love the Colors community. Once I started befriending people on plurk, Colors suddenly became this lively and bustling community of fun and joy for me. I love seeing people plurk about deckmaking, or their accomplishments in Colors such as mastering decks, or seeing mods plurk their games and talk about them! And it was even more fun to plurk about Colors stuff and get people replying and chatting with me! It's especially fun to pull off monstrous trades and masteries, plurk them and watch people tell me I'm insane 8D But really, it's been an extremely fun and enjoyable experience for the ten months I've been in Colors, and it just doesn't get old!

Going to more specific things.... I enjoy rifling through our donations and seeing what goodies are upcoming in the release. I always look forward to release time... even though it tends to involve a lot of work to add decks onto my page and all. But it's just really nice to look through donations and then suddenly, "Oh my god so and so donated this character I didn't know I wanted until now!"

Pot of Gold is my favourite game? Event? It's something, but it helps me get more active so I can actually complete it. It prompts me to trade more and interact with everyone else more, and I like that aspect of it! It's also great fun to slowly tick off each task, and then when you're done, receive a huge payout. I love getting tons of cards...

Basically, I love almost every aspect of Colors (yes even modding Recycled Art it's actually nice) and I hope it'll continue to be fun for years longer!
